This exhibition invites you to explore the Mateus Archive. A curated selection of pieces that define our history and our present. Here, the iconic patterns of our very first collections meet the forms that constitute the foundation of Mateus today. The Archive serves as a physical timeline of our creative evolution, where every object carries its own unique story.
As you move through the space, you are invited to witness the evolution of our signatures and the development of the "Mateus style", an aesthetic that is not just about a product, but about a feeling. The Archive Exhibition is more than a collection of objects, it is a celebration of three decades of passion, a tribute to the artisans who make our vision possible and a reminder that true design never goes out of style.
Welcome to the world of Mateus.

Through the looking glass, and into our past.
Founded in 1993 by Teresa Lundahl, Mateus was created to bring together the Portuguese craftsmanship with Scandinavian design. By blending tradition, fashion, art, and function, the brand introduced a new expression in ceramics, where every handmade piece celebrates craftsmanship, timeless design, and the joy of sharing meals.
Today, Mateus is led by Teresa and her daughter Filippa Burenstam Linder, continuing to evolve the brand by combining heritage techniques with a contemporary aesthetic that resonates across generations and borders.
